I was wondering if anyone of here could help me, I'm wanting to find a better way of displaying a presentation that loops on two TV's in a reception area.

Currently the presentation is running of a memory stick in each TV but ideally I want a solution where the presentations can be updated remotely from a PC or tablet so that updating them doesn't require the memory stick being removed and plugged into a PC.

The TV's are fairly old but do have HDMI ports so I was thinking something along the lines of a chromecast but I don't think this will work because a device will need to be casting to them the whole time.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Well there's nothing wrong with casting 24/7 if you have something running like a simple server. Is it the same video to both screens?

My suggestion would be a Raspberry Pi. You can set it up to be remotely accessible for files, and to play on startup. Small, cheap, easy to power. You could use an HDMI splitter too if it's just one video on two screens.

If the TVs have DNLA (most smart TVs that have USB ports do), then you can install a DNLA Media Server on any machine in the office and select the video file or files on the TV to play.

http://serviio.org/ is one of many examples.

Once running your TV should show the machine running it and allow you to browse it's media files and play them.
