If I buy some computer components of OCUK over 3 months(as I cant afford them all at once, and have been declined for finance) to build a system and I find when the system is complete, 1 or 2 of the parts are faulty/not working. What kind of protection do I have? Will OCUK replace these faulty components?

Thanks!!

Yes, raise and RMA and they will test before proving a replacement or sending back to you.

What did you buy & what is the issue?

I will add that I have not bought anything yet and I have had no problem with anything I have bought from OCUK in the past. I am just looking for some assurance as if the parts are sitting there in the box for 2-4 months and are faulty I would be covered. :)

@ oracIe I'm really bad at saving, if I buy a big part or 2 every payday I will be able to get it that way. But If I have money I will spend it :D

I would advise to ask this in the customer service section of the forum. You get 14 days DSR, in which you can return the item for any reason for a refund (as long as it is in a re-saleable condition). After that I believe you will get 28 days of protection for refund or replace if faulty but after 28 days some manufacturers components might have to be sent back to an RMA centre for repair. I think quite a lot of the products have the manufacturer warranty with OCUK but some wont.

Could ask OcUK to hold the order for you until you have every component. Then the guarantee begins from the time everything is sent out together. Don't think they'd complain at receiving money a month or so before sending the stuff out? But I might be missing something.

If you buy something from OCUK and it fails in the first month, they will replace it. After that, they will either send you to the manufacturer, or send it back themselves to the manufacturer on your behalf. For some manufactures, OCUK act as a return centre.

So in the first month, anything that goes wrong will be quickly replaced, after that it may take longer and be more expensive in shipping depending on where and how it has to be returned to the manufacturer.

In short, it's better to get everything delivered at once and not have it sitting around for months untested.
