today I just received my new pc build for my son, for Christmas!

being the nosy person that i am i opened up the case to take a look!

i noticed on the graphics card i ordered, one of the capacitors was ever so slightly bent a few degrees.

is this serious?

could some kind souls let me know how to go about this matter? :D

(Wait for said son to go to bed)
Fire it up and have a play?

On a more serious note, if you are really concerened about it, just go straight back to whomever sold it to you, nothing worse than giving a present that someone has a problem with.

no not really, not a big issue, take a photo and send it in just in case so makers are aware, under heat if it is broken the case will swell and card would fail, but just bent over a bit no big deal, could have been that way from the start, if cracked i would have sent it back, but can't see anyone doing anything about a bent one, but photo and ask anyway

ah i had a couple of boards and gpu's that had bent capacitors and they ran fine, as long as they have not snapped or so, you will be fine

I trust that the capacitors arent snapped, thanks for the quick replys guys :D

Like i said, it is only bent just a little bit (maybe something like 2mm?)

So i guess i think itll be okay (i hope ;) ;D)

Ill see tomorrow if i could send in a picture for all you :D
