Hardware issues

So I recently built a new PC in the last month+, and haven't had any problems at all until very recently, on Wednesday 21'st I started to get WoW error 132 whilst playing World of Warcraft(the game I primarily play), which I haven't had for years and years. I had thought maybe it was something with an update or whatever, but it kept happening. I checked the maintenance of my PC and I can see it's coming up with hardware error. I tried it in another game and that also crashed, and came up with the same error. I have tried reinstalling Windows hoping that it was just a file corruption or something, but it's still continuing.

My PC build is:
MSI MPG B650 EDGE Wifi motherboard
MSI GeForce RTX 3080ti
AMD Ryzen 7 7700x
32 GB G.SKILL DDR5 6000 RAM
WD Black SN850X 2TB SSD M.2
MSI MPG A1000G UK PSU 1000W

I'm really not very knowledgeable when it comes to this type of stuff, so I really don't know what to do. I did google some stuff and did a memory test which appeared to come back fine, but I really don't know how you find out what the problem is.

Any help would be super appreciated because I really have no idea.

Have you run a scan on your SSD, or checked the smart values for errors (something like CrystalDiskInfo, or with WD tools)?

Have you updated all your drivers (or were they updated recently?)?

I'd turn off the automatic driver updates too, because Microsoft loves updating working drivers with broken ones

I'm assuming it's stock because I haven't touched anything since I built it.
I've just done a chkdsk C: /f /r /x scan now.
My drivers are seemingly up to date.

Still got the crash and error after doing the scan and fix on the SSD

Check the smart values.

I would check in the BIOS, you can also download CPU-Z and look at the memory tab, though that won't tell you what voltage they are running at.

I couldn't tell whether it actually found any errors, but the issue still persisted afterwards so I'm guessing it either found nothing or if it did it didn't fix the problem?

When I looked in BIOS my memory said 4800, 1.35v

I tried playing Kena on steam and it just came up with a error bug when it crashed and to send off the report, I can't remember what it actually said because I was too disappointed that it wasn't just WoW.

I have however uninstalled the latest driver and installed an older one, and so far... no crashes... yet....

In terms of what I have running, I usually have MSI Afterburner on, L-Connect 3 is normally on too, maybe my browser is open, Discord, that's usually about it

Hmm, if it was a completely different kind of error, it may be related to the game itself.

Are you using WoW and Steam games on a fresh drive? (i.e. you're not using games that were installed to a previous system)

If it only errors when you exit, then that's a kind of progress, so I wouldn't revert the driver, for now.

I had tried only running WoW with nothing else open but that was on the previous graphic driver. I'd maybe been logged into WoW for 45 mins or so and didn't get an error with the older graphic driver until I exited the game.

They are on a fresh drive yeah, I'm only using my 2TB M.2, everything is on there, although now it only has WoW installed since I reinstalled windows.

For what it's worth, I did notice that I'd most often get the error when zoning into a instance portal(loading screen) and other things like that, I did get it a lot when just standing around and fighting too, but the only time it was consistently happening was when I was in a loading screen for something.

Yeah nevermind, still getting WoW error

My game froze a little bit for a sec, both my screens went black for a second, and now I just got WoW error again. Checking maintenance it's got 2 instances of hardware error

If it has raw data, can you: 1. copy to clipboard, 2. paste into a converter like: this and report back if anything is readable (like actual words)?

When I convert it it comes up with nothing ''value is not hex''.

Well whilst I was in-game my screen froze, then unfroze a few seconds later, I checked event viewer and this was there:

So my game just crashed entirely and just closed down, no WoW error or something like that. These were in the event log:

Drivers were up to date until I decided to try an older GPU driver. What is expo?

Well after I underclocked, my pc froze and the game just shut down soon after, but then for about 4-5 hours I had no errors or anything really, so I was hopeful, but then it started again and happened multiple times, either wow errors or just crashing etc.

Since I've turned on XMP I've not had a crash yet in 2 hours so that's positive

Yeah i'm monitoring my temps all the time, the highest my GPU gets whilst i'm playing is low 70's, CPU sits at around 60 or so, i've noticed nothing strange about any of the tempts at all.

Just as a noob knownothing brain, if before I never experienced these issues, why would turning on XMP do the trick if it wasn't on before but no problems?

Well I've been on since I got home from work at about 5.30, remained logged in the whole time and done a lot of dungeons etc, and so far I haven't had an error. I'm too scared to say it's fixed but it's at least a positive sign
