Hello,

just wanted to pick your brains about what to do when you order something online but when the courier gives it to you the package is obviously damaged, can you reject the goods and make the courier return it?

Normally I just accept the goods and then contact the supplier for an RMA but then you have to fork out for return postage etc (some suppliers will refund this but not all).

Has anyone 'rejected' a delivery before?

k thanks.

I heard that some people make the supplier arrange a courier to collect the damaged item? that sounds like a good option because it means you don't have to stand in a post-office queue for 30mins!

anyone?

Thanks for replies all!

I didn't know about that U/C (or Unchecked) thing when you sign, will have to read up on that.

Anyway I did an RMA online with the vendor and they approved my RMA for collection and they are sending a courier to pickup the damaged goods tomorrow.

Next time I recieve damaged goods I will reject delivery and see what happens

Just for the record the package I had delivered was a graphics card. The vendor had just wrapped it in a plastic envelope and shipped it to me. When the courier handed over the package it was obvious to me that the box had been crushed at one end, the box had lost its form completely!

I've notice vendors have started to not box a boxed item?
