Hey,

I have a requirement of a multi-core processor, i7 950?

To run ~5 memory hungry applications simultaneously <2gb each - so I'm looking at 12gb total ram.

I will want to upgrade my graphics card for dx11 in the future, but I'm not sure that this affects the purchase choice.

Is there a good CPU, M/B Ram combination I should consider to achieve this? With overclocking?

thanks

What kind of budget are we looking at?
If its a few thousand then Xeon would be the way to go.
If around £350-400 then its Phenom II X6.
If around £500 then you can get an i7-2600K SB build.

The motherboard also supports 8GB RAM sticks ready for when they're released, I can't find any 8GB non-ecc RAM currently available.
