Hi, i got a serouis problem going on, when im playing games i sometimes get a blue screen fatal error.

could this be related to a audio driver i have installed - asus 5.1 xonar audio driver.

my graphics driver is up to date.
 
When it blue screens, take a note of the details. If it is caused by a driver, then it will tell you which one.
Best way is to keep a camera handy!

cosair cx500 psu
ocz gold 4gb
artic cooling freezer pro
some really cheapo dvdrw

its a new build so i dont know..

first time switch on was today, it happens when im playing black ops, sometimes i get a message - black ops has stopped responding windows is checking for a soloution

im running windows 7 64bit.

ive never encounted this problem in years of building pcs, im at a dead end because its a new build so pinpointing the problem is going to be a head ache, it may be a graphics driver problem with black ops. i just dont know.
 
hi thanks for the replys i think its my nvidia card im going to get a ATI one and try that. my phone is on stand by for the next bsod ready for snapshoot. :)
 
Have you ran Prime95 blend test for stability, also worth running Memtest86 overnight on each stick and Windows memory check tool to ensure its not a RAM error.

Make sure RAM is set to its rated speed (or down-clocked) and rated timings in the BIOS.

Check voltage to RAM also.

Then try different NVIDIA drivers, then the ATI card.
 
thanks shadow boxer i'll give that a go, nothing is overclocked at the moment, i have a HD5450 card that i got a while ago, im run tests then try the hd5450 tomorrow.

i just got a feeling its this gts450 though, i had the card gave me and dont know how its been treated so could be the hardware.
 
BSOD now sorted thanks to everyone who helped out, had to reset memeroy timings as they were out. also set ACC in mobo bios to auto. all is fine now.
