Hi all,

I'm looking to upgrade my system as my current just isn't quite up to scratch. I'm currently using - AMD FX-4100 quad core @ 3.6GHz, 4 GB Kingston DDR3 RAM, AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB.

My system plays games like BF4 with no problems, but I get massive FPS drop when it comes to games like DayZ Standalone, particularly when trying to record using OBS. I understand this is probably mainly down to my CPU?

I'd like to use the new system for gaming, sound / music mixing, video editing and in-game capture.

I'm happy with my HD monitor and already have a 500gb SSD, so am just looking for Mobo, RAM, CPU (ideally i5 or i7), GFX Card, (Maybe a sound card) and PSU packages or recommendations. Total spend to be approx. £550 but can go higher if really needed.

Many thanks in advance,

Tunnix

The reason I've not added a GPU is you could keep going with your 7870 until after christmas and grab yourself a bargain in the sales. IIRC, the 7870s overclock quite well and another one for crossfire would give nice boost (but not really needed).

I've also added as SSD as you've not mentioned one in your opening thread.

It would also be useful to know what PSU you have, depending on the make/model it may be worth getting a new one.
