So looking at end of this year start of next to upgrade my PC.

Currently running i7 3770K, 16Gb RAM, 970GTX couple of SSDs and mechanical drive all bunded up in a Corsair Air 240 case and also has a AIO cooler though can not remember the make of it.

It has lasted me a fair few years and looking at upgrading to keep up for the next few years.

I was looking at a GTX1080 then either Ryzen or high end i7.

Games wise mostly play World of Warships, War Thunder, WoW, few RTS games.

I want to go to 4K as such I am thinking about the LG 43UD79-B to replace my Dell 2711FPW.

Budget wise looking in the £1000-1500 bracket for this build. I would be keeping the case and current SSDs and HDD, though could be tempted to move over to some nVME stuff in the future so want to keep that in mind.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Kimbie

I might be wrong but I think for 4K gaming you might want a 1080ti, although not sure with the games you listed.

Most should run at 4K with little to no issue if not running at top end of the graphics settings, and to be honest, in things like Warships and Warthunder do not really have time to stop and look how pretty a strand of grass is with all the AA stuff on it lol
