like most of you on here i want crysis when its out.
my rig is as sig and i wondered what must i upgrade in order to be able to play this game maxed out (not fussed over aa or af) resolution will probs be 1440x900 until i get a bigger screen.

EDIT: im using xp now not vista didnt want to even detect my wireless stick

thanks

Christ, ive just spent a small fortune and pc is gonna be hardly any better than yours.

I would wait until its released and see what card is running it best, the rest of ** system should be fine!

I agree :D Wait until somethings out before upgrading for it.

Or buy the cheap OcUK 8800 GTS then be outdated by the time crysis comes out

i realise i need to get new graphics :p . thing is my x1800xt sounds like a freakin hoover so im not getting ati again (with stock cooler anyway). I sorta want a gts 640mb as anything above that will require a new psu (mines the 450w from sonata2). but i dont want to have to upgrade again to play crysis full

The thing is, the farcry engine ran sweet on systems that werent totally maxed out, When crysis is release see how it scales with hardware etc. At the resolution you run, there is a chance that a 320mb 8800 will do the trick :)

I sold my x1800, then brought another 2nd hand, its fitted with a Zalman cooler though, and boy what a difference it makes, i leave it half speed and never hear it, but i would have never brought another if it had a stock cooler.

GTS recommended 400W minimum and GTX 450W, so you may find a GTS will run just fine.

If you want some peace of mind in the mean time though, i can't praise the Zalman cooler enough for the x1800, and it runs much cooler to... might be a cheaper and worth while investment for now.. ;)
