Yes and also becoming a drama queen and click baiting. Not sure what is going on with him, he was better before and stuck to the topic in a professional way, now it's silly jokes, swearing and the jokes are not even funny and keeps repeating the same meme video clips he uses over and over. He needs to start acting his age.

It is that’s why Linus at LinusTechTips is doing that now, basically spam, sponsored content and zero accuracy with the tech reviews. Another one that went down the drain.

Steve from Gamers Nexus should know better and his audience is more of a mature tech professionals or enthusiasts with a true understanding of hardware and software, almost like Level1Tech's channel but Gamers Nexus not as techy deep as Level1Tech aims also at the higher end engineers and data centre people.

I've not watched it yet but Steve is over here in London on his latest video.

It's very rare that i watch Linus or Jayz these days on youtube, i really need to start looking around for others.
 
LTT seems to be just a shopping channel these days. Riley is the only presenter there that appears to have real talent and ability imo.

It's quite disappointing to see GM declining like it is but hopefully someone will give Steve a shake and get the channel back on track.
 
Anyone else dislike the vast majority of PC case reviews having glass panels these days?

As far as i'm concerned a PC case should be like one of those small storage sheds where you chuck stuff in and forget about it.

I was like this untill a few years back. I really didn't want a case with glass but all the decent modern ones had it so I succumbed.
You can now see my pc from space with all the RGB. I've embraced it! :)
 
Yeah he's a bit puritanical and ranty IMO. It's not all the end of the world.

Companies can be D-heads etc, but at the same time if a datacentre is offering you 3x what the open market will, well.. they're a business.
 
It amuses me when you see people on reddit drooling over the Silverstone FLP01 retro htpc case because they want to stick a monitor on top of it. :)
 

Emily Young from Linus Tech Tips has now started her own channel!

She wants to get back to reviews without all the gimmicks, so it might be worth watching once she finally gets going.
 
Hardware unboxed are my go to for serious stuff with a bit of light-hearted banter thrown in now. I still watch the others but they're more entertainment than information these days.
 
I still like GN a great deal, both the reviews and investigations. I also watch HWU and a bit of Daniel Owen.

I don't like LTT, I've always found his style irritating, with their videos lacking substance and focussing on entertainment.
 
I don't watch video reviews for exactly those reasons. The majority talk rubbish and blether on just because they like the sound of their own voice. No thank you, give me a written review with photo's anyday.
 
Of all the monies to dance to a particular tune that Steve of GN has turned down, the ad money isn't one of them.

The style has changed a lot over the years and I'm pretty sure its from staring at the engagement and $.

It can only become more exaggerated to keep chasing those numbers in a time of nothing good happening in consumer tech.
