hardware spec check,

Hello,

I've found a small PC for £300 with the following spec, is it good enough for gaming?? I know I can change the GPU from a GRX555 for a R9 270, that's about the best card I get due to size and PSU wattage.

Would this be able to handle most games at a high res?

might be a bit limited to what GPU you can get with a 330 PSU so check the power requirements if you get a new one but the rest should be fine.

bare in mind you may need to replace the PSU as well

TBH with you, it's the Alienware X51, so the best PSU is the 330, and from Dell's website the R9 270 is the best GPU upgrade it can take, but wasnt sure how good it'll be overall for gaming at 1920 x 1080.

ahhh ok, is it a small alienware PC with the PSU external from the PC?

did have a check and the 270 can use about 150w

what games do you plan on playing?

PSU is internal, the case is about the same size as a Xbox1 from the looks for it, games wise I'll play all the new stuff COD, Ryse, Watch Dogs, Aliens Isolation, plus any upcoming games.

you should be ok, will not be able to run them on ultra settings with the GPU but you should be able to play them.
