I didn't know weather to put this in general discusion forum or not but considering its hardware related I went to here.

So my question is how to do you obtain hardware sponsorship where you revive hardware for reviewing purposes.

if anyone knows how you go about getting getting can you please help

Also if you know how 'pay' works for example do you recive money, have to give money you make from the advertisments on the review party to the sponsor or if you can simply revive a discount if you choose too buy it (I doubt they would just give you it for free becuase you review it )

Help me out if you can

Everyone (and their dog) would like a share of the limited amount of review hardware that's available. You aren't going to get anything much unless you can prove that you have an existing following that the manufacturers are interested in reaching.

This is pretty much it. The reviewers who get the cool pre release hardware are well established and have a huge audience.

I actually have a vague recollection of someone on here who thought he could do this and get loads of cheap hardware. I dont know what happened to him but Im willing to bet that the review business is not going too well for him.

Lauren from Tasty PC started out reveiwing fans, as that's all she could afford. Now she's got thousands of veiwers and corsair made her a custom pink 600t.

Rule is, prove yourself first then hunt for sponsors.

I think Tom logan (ttlcustoms or something on youtube) did a video on how he got sponsership / free tech to review etc.

Basically, do what you can BECAUSE YOU ENJOY IT. Spend your own money, it took him something like 2 years.

If you can't afford much, do what you can with what you have. Tastypc (lauren) is a perfect example as stated above, she did a few videos on fans, posted them here and got tips, just a few months later and i see her popping up more and more with tech videos / sponsership.

Don't do it to get free tech though, it wont work like that.

It does take time and investment, but if you stick with it, you can end up getting things to keep.

I have been doing my site for a little over a year, basically i started off we keyboards and mice, just because as mentioned above, that is what most interested me.
If you read one of my reviews, Link, you can see the difference between one of mine and other review sites that have a typical pagination layout, 3 pages of pictures and a bulky conclusion, i try to cover everything as much as i can in detail, talk about the sensor of a mouse, the acceleration, the jitter etc. If you have a fresh idea, then you should go for it, especially if you are knowledgeable in the area you want to review.

good luck, but as everyone says, dont go in it expecting to get free stuff. manufacturers don't just give out free stuff. I was doing this a few years ago, reviewing stuff I bought, I just wasn't getting the views on youtube. Gave up to be honest. But I emailed quite a few companies, they require you to have a high end camera for filming, and usually only give you a discount (20% was common for me) on products for reviewing purposes. Good idea is to start out small, ask small companies for small things like memory, keyboards and mice.
