Hardware/SSD failure?

Hey guys, I've ran into a bit of a problem! I was using my PC an hour ago and the exhaust fan next to my cpu cooler just went to 100% and gave me BSOD! Every time I boot it up now the fan is still at 100% and I either can't get passed bios or I manage to get to desktop for a few minutes before crashing again. At first I thought it was a classic mb failure or the psu had gone, but when I can get back to desktop I can get task manager up just about as everything is running super slow and the only irregularity is my SSD running at nearly max speed?! Am I right in guessing this probably means my SSD is dying/dead?

Thanks guys.

Ok think I've found the issue. The longer I leave it off the longer I can boot up without crashing. I'm using a Corsair H80i GT cpu cooler and looks like it's gone :( cpu temps starting at 80 degrees and rising up into the 90's before shutting itself down as fan gets louder. First time I've had a liquid cooler so are these easy to get off and see if the thermal paste might be the issue?

Could well be a bad thermal contact, but it's also quite possible the pump has died if it's that hot.

I would take the cooler off and see if the paste has dried out or isn't making a good contact. If changing the paste and re-seating the cooler does the trick, then it's just a bad contact.

Have you recently moved the PC? This could unseat the cooler.

The AIOs are pretty easy to take off. Just unscrew the bolts and the cold plate should lift off.

If there is any question about the cooler and it's not the fans I would replace it.

Coolers don't just come loose and bad tim won't cause temps that high.

If the AIO pump is faulty overheating might cause a leak.
Leak could be very expensive.

Ocuk sell the AIO I'm using for a low enough price to just buy a new one.

Dont use your pc till its fixed.

The thermal paste looked pretty naff so reapplied that and no change, but thankfully no leaks anywhere. Took the cooler apart to see if I could loosen any blockage if there was one but no luck. I could Try and RMA it, but honestly I just don't have the patience I'd rather just buy a new cooler. I don't have much space in my case so another one with the same 120mm fans and radiator would be ideal. Any recommendations fellas?
Cheers.

NZXT Kraken is very good. H100iGTX is very good also.

You could also go big air losing very little perf in the process. An NHD14 can have a fan fail, worst case scenario. That's cheap and easy to replace.

Sounds like the cooler's borked then. The Antec Kuhler H600 is pretty good value at £40. Got one myself. Ideally, I'd go with a big air cooler as if the fans fail, it'll act as a passive heatsink. As space is limited, an AIO is probably the best option.
