Sorry, I know this isn't technically the correct forum, but I suspect the people with the answers hang in here :)

I'm looking to update my companies outdated hardware tracking system, but I don't know what solutions are out there.

I'm looking for something with the following features:
-Report IP address/logged in user
-Machines to report in on a daily basis (At least)
-If no internet connection at scheduled report time, wait until connection is established and then send (Basically, don't just give up as our current system does!?!)
-Ideally a cloud based solution for the central server. Self hosted server an option, but not preferred.
-Obviously, cheaper is better.
-Need to track up to 10k machines

Our current solution is an (old) custom developed system which we have no real control over and poor support in terms of making modification. We are looking at making the modifications none the less, but I also want to be able to present an alternative option. Can any one recommend any solutions? We have a robust software deployment solution, so not to worried about install issues with the client - I'm interested in how it performs once its in place.

What do you use? Is it good? Pros/Cons?

* Edit - reading through, I'm not sure I've made my goal clear - put simply, I want to be able to pick any machine and produce a report of the last 10 times it checked in to show who has it and where they used it.

Meraki wireless solutions provides this http://www.meraki.com/products/systems-manager/

You can even remote wipe devices.

though unsure if it records the last 10times it was used. (perhaps in the logs somewhere)

We use it, also good to record who has what software installed, you can even set it to alert if certain software gets installed.

all cloud based as well.

You get a free demo here http://www.meraki.com/lp/free-demo

also attend a webinar and you geta free 802.11n AP (by getting one of these, you automatically get to use system manager to record all computers including what software they get, so one free AP and you can install , the software on unlimited number of computers)
