Hi all.

I seek advice to hardware update, with will be prety much a new set up I'm afraid...

Current Build:

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K WC
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT WC - replacement for Radeon R9 295x2 WC
MOBO: ASUS Saberbooth Z97 mark S
Ram: DDR 3 Hyper X Fury 32GB
PSU : BeQuiet 1000W
SSD Kingstone 320GB x2

WC
EK D5 pomp
1x duble 12mm fan XSPC XC series radiator
1x triple 12mm fan XSPC XC series radiator
XSPC CPU waterblock

All that siting in Fractal Design Define R5

Why dont you get a new water block for the cpu you choose ?

Would You sugest to stay with current MOBO and change CPU? Current one never was accualy OC, never feeld like I need to do that. Maybe there is still potential with it, I don't know.

I Like gaming. + PC VR. And I like A clean builds. I wish to upload photo, but I don't see option to do it directly from pc.

Maybe i should have been clearer i ment motherboard, cpu and memory and get a new cpu block.

Well CPU,MOBO and Memory is the "new setup" I mention in 1st post. I have no time to do a multiple research about what is wortch to go for now. I beleave there are people here who wil point me and say check this Mobo to go with that CPU, so I can than check that in details.

I wish MOBO to have slot for SSD "M2" if I'm right?

Budget :D The one that my wife know about will be "0" + whatever I can get for my existing stuff that will be replaced. Unoficialy I think around GBP 1k + my existing stuff. MOBO should have PCIe 4.0 (x16) to fully utylize GPU

I gone across that build with totaly blew my mind...

Intel 12th gen option...I just picked a board that was ddr4 and had wifi. as @mickyflinn said, you'll prob need a new water pump/block to fit on the cpu, or at least an adaptor to make it fit. i haven't seen any reviews on any z690 boards so far(so wouldn't be able to tell you whether vrms are good or not etc), but picked one that had wifi and was more reasonably priced( a lot are north of £300)
Just seen 5800X for sale £272, so you can knock off £100 from Micky's price if you shop

Keep your existing Case, PSU, GPU and SSDs. I would look at an Alder Lake setup. You might get some benefit from adding an NVME drive as it should be a decent boost over old SSDs, but not essential.

I think I will build around that Intel 12th Gen Alder Lake. Reviews are very promissing. Black Friday on its way so if You see anythink worth looking at, based on that and around CPU please keep it coming!!! Thanx

12600k reduced from £278, SN850 now reduced to SN750 price, Crucial 3600C16 on offer no rgb, corsair 3600C18 rgb if you want rgb but slightly slower timing, then same crucial with rgb and finally team group sammy b die non rgb 3600c16, best of the lot for performance reduced also
