Hi All - my son's computer (which is quite old) will no longer boot despite my best efforts so i've taken the decision to perform an upgrade and hopefully fix the non-boot issue. Can anyone recommend a mobo- intel i5-solid state hard drive combination?

Also, since I have two MSI GTX 950's is there any kit/motherboard combination i can buy to run these in parallel?

Cheers
Pete

though noticed your sons mobo is mATX, if his case doesn't accept atx boards

6 cores 6 threads vs his current 2 cores and 4 threads

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £331.42 (includes shipping: £10.50)

ryzen 1700, 8 cores and 16 threads - bit overkill but should last a while!

good cheap case for the bundle deal with free ssd listed above

Total: £51.05 (includes shipping: £11.10)

Thanks all. Quick queery - any reason why my son's computer won't boot - it gets to the mobo splash screen and then stalls. The keyboard seems unresponsive. For some reason the computer just failed to boot up one morning after a few weeks of inactivity.
