Hardware video encoding

it doesnt use the gpu yet...

guess we'll just have to wait...

It is extremely fast though

no - the software isnt written to take advantage of the video card.

ATI converter is still software based and I think its already over twice as fast as Nero Recode.
 
have you even used it?...and you do know its a beta right?

its only *slightly* worse quality, and for 1.5 GB in 15ish minutes, I quite frankly dont care.

nope i am going by other ppls word on these boards when it first came up their was a thread saying the reason why it was fast was because the quality sucked
