The sub on my 2.1 intermittantly cuts out - I've had the thing open and everything i can see (PCB wiring etc) is fine, the woofer just cuts out at times.

Any sugestions? Don't really want to have to replace as got shipped from US :(
 
cuts totally out for days then will just start up magically again.

I don't think the heat is an issue, I've checked the PCB and all the wiring - the desktop speaking will not work with the sub power button off. When the sub cuts out its still powered on, except the sub works some of the time and the desktop speakers are fine. :confused: :confused:
 
yes it has a couple of those I tend to wiggle them to make sure the solder joint is ok. My electronics is medicore at best, I have a solder iron and multimeter that I am not scared of using.....

it is just so annoying when for no reason it stops half way through a game / tune :mad:
