Thinking of taking the Missus for a night out there, is it any good? can anyone also recommend any decent restaurants/Hotels?

The Kings Club is excellent but I dont think your girl will like it.

You could go smash a pasty in the The Cornish Pasty Bakery located inside the Victoria Shopping Centre.

The Studley Hotel has a Thai restaurant underneath called Orchards, we normally go every year as they have good offers on rooms and then £50 off your meal, it's a fantastic place.

I'd say York is a better night out, Harrogate is a bit posher. I lived there for 17 years and love the place, off there tomorrow funnily enough. Some really nice bars there!

Definitely, it's that neck of the woods so perfect location really. The hotel is really nice, going back there in a month

My mate lives in Harrogate and I know there's some place that does 2 for 1 cocktails. That's the extent of my advice though

It is always excellent quality and not too overpriced considering it is Silver Service.

There is a very nice Chinese restaurant at The Royal Baths, you could go for a Turkish bath there too

Oh, don't get talked into trying 'the waters', its vile!

I'd say that Chinese is rubbish. Stunning building but the food is very basic and not authentic. Thai Orchid as mentioned is very good. I'd also recommend Sasso's - a proper Italian restaurant. High end food but friendly and not stuffy. Cardomon Black is a great Indian, and quite glam so popular with women.

If it's a treat for the missus then you can't go wrong with Betty's as already mentioned.

West Park Hotel is really nice. Good restaurant and breakfast too. Try the smoky old fashioned cocktail
