Harry Redknapp gone

I'm sure Spurs fans would be pleased if it was Klinnsman, but Benitez? surely most fans of any club would rather eat several lbs of their own faeces than see him as manager

benitez? he's a decent manager, i'd rather him than moyes. he's got good euro experience

klinsmann's still setlled in the US isn't he? i'd love klinsmann but can't see it happening.

it's gonna be moyes, it's gonna be dreadful. that's nothing against moyes but he's suited to everton, not spurs.

Pardew (and Newcastle) could well end up being a one season wonder, who knows? He did get sacked by both West Ham and Charlton lets not forget. Spurs would do well to nick their scouting system though ;)

Oi! And most recently Southampton! Can't forget all of Pardew's events... :p

Anyway this is an almighty disappointment, one of the highlights of the first season back in the prem was going to be Spurs home and away to get to throw 2 games worth of abuse at harry! As a bitter and angry bunch of fans we have been robbed of the highlight of our season by his own greed and incompetence!! We don't even get the chance to have a go at him for it.

(note I am secretly overjoyed the real world can see what an utterly useless manager he is, spending money to basically just about meet expectations is hardly impressive, especially considering how much has been splashed)

The CL win was spectacular, but after that I remember:

  • a whole lot of whining about having no money to spend, despite having spent a vast fortune (mostly on a succession of 2nd rate players)
  • endless blaming of anyone but himself for the **** poor performances and results
  • Liverpool going backwards after those early cup wins
  • some pretty dismal to watch football
I'd sum him up a 3rd rate chequebook manager whose successes probably owe more to the players he had at his disposal. He hasn't been hired since Inter sacked him in 2010, that should say enough about his current standing

I can see Klinsmann being popular if he comes. Moyes has done a great job at Everton and would be a good signing but he's Blue through and through.

...nonsense...

Except for his last season which was poor we got better every season Rafa was in charge. You obviously forgetting we were runners up the season before he was sacked thrashing Utd at Old Trafford almost getting to another CL Final.

Spurs to go the way of Southampton and Pompey? He spent far too much money, no success, poorly utilised the squad, little tactical awareness and bought in some very average players whilst massively increasing the wage bill. Relied too much on individual performances to win games which didn't correlate into god team form or performances. Seemed to have a funny/odd relationship with Levy, not surprised he's gone. As for the fact he came out yesterday and said he's not leaving...good old Arry's word. Would like to see Martinez given the job, can't see Moyes adding much.
