Just read the report on this system from Guru3D and it sound very impressive, i dont know anything of Core Duo but do people think AMD have pulled the rug from underneath Intel even before intel have had a chance to bring out there new chip.

From reading the Guru 3D article it would appear that AM2 is far more than a little improvement, its a long (20 page) article but i would encourage everybody to read it, the overclocking possabilities are amazing, and that is with every mobo rigardless of manufactoror.Logan09 said:

Right, i started this thread cos i was very intersted in Intels new chip but as others have eluded to, my problem is with the company not the hardware.
i have purposly not looked at the performance graphs as i was more interested in the article and what Am2 could offer rather than benchmarks (who trusts early benchmarks).
I looking at potential rahter than marketing, is AM2 a 7900GTX or is it a 9800PRO (those whove been here for a little while will get that).
