Has anybody done decision maths (d1) ?

Apparently a lot of m1 revolves around stuff like the suvat equations?

Its mainly that and newtons laws. resolving forces and some basic net force stuff. at the time it can be tricky to get your head around but put some time into it.

M1 is the only exam i have ever got 100% on

Yes but in the the winter exam last year to get an A grade you were not allowed to lose ayn more than 6 or 7 marks on a 75 mark paper.

I did that exam! That was a further maths module for me that I was doing with only about 1.5 hours teaching a week, and I hadn't prepared massively well for it. However, I was still surprised when I found out I got a C (my only C in a public examination, EVER), as it had seemed to go OK on the day. Did it again in the summer and got an A :)

The boundary shouldn't usually be that high though, and there is such a limited question set that if you know the basics of each topic, and you don't make any careless mistakes, you can boss it without massive effort. Apparently in state schools lots of bottom sets take it as their AS option module, which helps keep the boundaries lower.

I did this exam, will give you any help :) Can also help with C3, M1 M2 S1 FP1 and FP2. With AQA. But It should cover some of ocr.

One chapter does. In the syllabus I'm taking M1 covers kinematics of a particle (SUVAT equation, graphs of motion), dynamics (forces, conservation of momentum, friction, impulses, lots of stuff really), moments, statics of a particle and vectors.

Maybe my GCSE Physics was special then, but I'd defiantly put M1 below A-Level Physics on the hardness scale :).

Maybe my GCSE physics was special, I did just over 2 years ago.

Stupid Edexcel 360 **** take science **** up my foundation.

Multiple choice piece of bullsit, nearly 40% was multiple choice!

I found the Discrete (pretty sure it's the old name for the same thing) maths A level module really useful for certain parts of my computer science course at uni - gave a bit of a head start.

this. Lots of the stuff in D1 showed up in first year comp sci lectures.

I did it one of the the first years it was offered (1998) so I don't know how relevant my test experience will be, but it was an interesting course. Test wasn't difficult per se (could answer all of the questions), but the sheer number of questions meant you had to answer each at a brakeneak speed or you wouldn't finish them all in time.
