I thought the single player demo was good, but the online was pants. Anybody picked this up? I could do with opinions since i am opting for this or Mafia 2....Unsure on SC2 as it looks very pro fested.

Kane and Lynch seems to be getting terrible reviews, I'm a big fan of coop games but I think I'm gonna skip it and go for mafia 2 which is being recieved far more positively. But if I had to choose between either of those 2 or SC2 I'd definately go for Starcraft, its a seriously good game. The league system means you won't be stomped by pros all day long.

Single player is really great love the style of the game but its far to short.

I have not tried multiplayer and i dont think i will because mafia 2 is out soon so will be playing with that instead.

I understand where you're coming from. It definitely has a pro scene but it's definitely accessible to casual gamers too. You get placed into leagues of similar skilled players so you won't be constantly stomped. With the MP aside the SP is absolutely brilliant, strung together well.

Kayne and Lynch has been receiving some pretty poor reviews so I know what I'd be spending my money on.

I picked up a copy off steam.. ive played it for about 2 hours and love a lot of its elements, although some of the AI and control glitches do make the game feel like very bad at times. Its a shame and parts of the game are the most fantastic ive played in a while.

They really should have tightened up the control mechanics and AI earlier in the project and built around it as it feels very slapped together last minute, despite being in production for a long time.

Not played any MP yet but i plan to as it good some good reviews for the MP stuff providing you join or setup a private game with good pings all round.

Like others have said, I'll pick it up one day. I really liked the gritty sp story behind the first game (although it went a bit of tangent towards the end). Online was OK but I came late to the party and missed the popular servers.

I tried the demo on PS3 and it looks like something I'll enjoy, but I'll wait for a sale or another drought as there's too many AAA titles to play right now.

I REALLY enjoyed the first one for some reason. Think I'll wait to pick up the second until i've bored myself to death of Mafia 2 though. Been waiting on that one forever.

game looks crap and i dont trust any reviews for it
didnt a gamespot editor get sacked for giving the first game a bad review

Just complete the story mode on extreme (in coop), and i have to say i loved this game to bits. Kane and Lynch are amongst my favorite characters of all time. I also loved this first even though most people never. I dont know maybe because i was playing on extreme with a frend but i loved the fire fights it was really fun 1 shot could floor you :D

The ending was a brilliant one for me as i really wanted them both to survive and i was sooooo close to death whilst runing for the plane getting shot to pieces and dogs chasing me, was really at the edge of my seat.

Although i agree its not to everyones taste, it is to mine and i really hope a third part is released.

Yep bought it today. Graphics are amazing & utterly breath taking in places. Screenshots do it no justice you have to see it with your own eyes.

Work of art & all the clever gfx filters used help a lot. Gameplay is same old as K&L1 but its still a very polished game & well worth buying espeically as the PC has the best graphics & you can disable the shaky camera & filters if you want.

Really? I thought the graphics were dated and unappealing, with the whole "seeing it through a movie camera" thing just there to try and cover it up. The controls are sticky, the cover system blocky and just generally terrible.

Yes, but I haven't played it yet (apart from the demo). Kane and Lynch games are for me on one hand poor, but on the other pretty good. There are some nice touches in the games but I do dislike the check points saving style.

I thought I loved K&L 2 at first but very quicky got sick of the repetitiveness of the "enter section, kill a swarm of enemies, enter next section," & so on. It was yet another of very few games I deleted before getting anywhere near halfway. (Each to their own tho) Also hated the "retro" style it has of making "x-rated" or "violent" scenes look blocky. (I actually thought my g-card was up the spout at the time & was downgrading my drivers etc etc to try & fix it :o )
