Evening all,

its the GF's birthday this weekend and Im stumped for ideas of what to do, TBH I havent given it much thought as Ive been working hard these past few weeks and her Bday has suddenly come round! She was moaning the other day about how we don't do many fun things together anymore, this is mainly due to our work patterns (and perhaps a little bit of laziness on my behalf :p ) . We've both got the weekend off though so I was thinknig what could be more fun than Alton Towers? We haven't been for years and I know she'll really enjoy that.

I therefore have a few questions to anyone who has been recently:
Is it still as great as I remember?
Is it really busy at the weekend like I remember? (i.e. will we manage just one ride the whole day?)
If it is really busy are the queue jump tickets worth it?
What are the best rides now?
Any other suggestions rather than Alton Towers?

Cheers,

CP

Sorry Captain Planet, apparently we've all taken spamming pills tonight, if you're that hard up on some info for AT, emails in trust, I am a walking encyclopedia for cryin' out loud :D

No probs, I think my questions have been answered :D Im going to book my queue buster tickets online now.

Cheers

Thanks for everyones advice, we both had a great weekend! The GF was very happy when she clocked on we were going after she noticed the AT road signs enroute :)

We both decided AIR was our favourite.
Obllivion was a little.. err, over-too-soon?
I was too tall for Spinball Whizzer :(
I was sat next to a loon (god she was going mental!) on Rita (the GF didn't want to go on).
We also queued about 45mins for the new charlie and the chocolate factory ride to be told it had broken down when we were near the front!

Overall it was excellent though, we'll be going again very soon.

Hope all that are going have fun next week! :D
