Has anyone bought Zulu on blu-ray?

saw it on sky hd a few months back and it looked a lot shaper than my dvd copy so im guessing bluray will be very nice indeed.

Thought i would spread the word :)

This is the first film where i can see the real benefit of Blu-ray. I'm not saying Wall-E and Dark knight didnt look good but taking a rather old film and making it look like it was filmed yesterday is something special. The sound is amazing, sound effects and bass really make me feel part of the moment. There is only one 10sec period where they filmed against a backdrop where i was disappointed but thats only because the restoration team couldnt do anything with it. For £12 this is an amazing purchase and its on 3 for 2 at a big retailer. Go get it and you wont be diappointed.

PQ is fantastic, it looks like a new production - particularly the African locations. They've also done a good job with the sound but the only drawback is that it all comes over a bit incongruous with the early 60's style dialogue and acting methods. And of course it's not a gore-fest, again belonging to the more restrained era when a high calibre bullet was deemed to make a neat little hole, rather than the realities of close quarter gun/blade combat!
