A return to the old aggressive looking grill.
It does kinda resemble a banana, but I think they look great in the flesh in black.

Admittedly the standard CLS is a hog, but AMG is an absolutely stunning car.
Stunning as in good or stunning as in good looking?
If the former then I'd be prepared to accept it. It certainly isn't the latter.

Love the new C-class Sport but the standard versions look really bland. Mate's dad had one a courtesy car and said the quality was pretty poor though 
When I first saw photos of the new C, I thought it looked like a Hyundai Sonata. In the flesh I really rate it, it looks ace.
Ref the CLS, that looks to me like an older S class that was left in the drier for too long and melted at either end.

I think it looks cheap and nasty, conpairing it to a new Vectra in our works carpark the vectra looks the more upmarket of the 2 !

Strangest statement ever - care to explain?
Onto the car, it does look much better then then previous but there is something quite not right with but can't put my finger on it, maybe it's the droopy looking front end or that the front end lines to me don't seem to compliment the rear?

You didn't say it looked better you said it was greater than.
