Has anyone ever "fixed" a stuck pixel?

Hiya,

I just purchased a one of OcUK's 24 inch screens (L2442W) and it has 1 stuck pixel on it...

It's barely noticeably and otherwise the screen is fantastic - great colours, viewing angles, etc. Definately the best LCD I've used so far...

I've read there's several methods to fix the stuck pixel, such as applying pressure on that individual pixel and powering it on/off while doing it as well as using software that might reactivate the stuck pixel.

I'm just wondering if any of these methods worked for anyone? Mine is still stuck but I'm kinda hoping it will get fixed one day... :D

Cheers.

Give it a gentle massage...seriously!

Something else to try, you could make an animated GIF consisting of red, blue, green, white and black frames - and let them run through for a few hours.

I have a stuck pixel on my Dell 2007WFP, but looking for it now i can't even find it! Doesn't really bother me, although i did try and fix it at first.

I left the tool on this website running overnight and gently massaged the stuck pixel. It didn't work for me though :(. You could still try, some people manage to fix theirs within a few minutes of running that app. I guess it's down to luck.

Yeah, you could either try giving it a little massage, or even a little 'tap' sometimes does it...Obviously don't pelt it with your fist :P

As basmic said, you can create a gif with those sorta colours....OR even google for something, that's hat I did and theres all sorts of thing's available to download that try to fix the pixels.

Atleast it's only one :)

I have fixed a few with a simple gentle massage, but have also failed to fix a few doing the same, its hit and miss depending on if the pixel is just stuck or actually faulty.
