Has anyone every built a sleeper build?

I'm really really tempted to try and mod this case to get some modern components into it. Has anyone ever undertaken such a task?

I have the vertical desktop version of the old Gateway 2000 case being used as a bedside cabinet lol - too lazy to replace it with proper furniture and a bit of nostalgia makes me reluctant to get rid as it was my first proper high performance PC.

I built a "sleeper" 10 odd years ago using I think a Packard Bell chassis that looks like a RISC PC and put a then high spec in it heh.

Yeah it's actually quite common, easier with ATX cases than AT though as the power button isn't compatible (can just use the reset button as power).
