Has anyone experienced court against a barrister relating to their statement?

We have a family dispute in our family relating to our house. Its at family court as it's apart of my parents divorce.

We have written statements. Just wondering if anyone can give any advice regards coming up against barristers Infront of a judge, regards their questioning etc

We have a barrister!!!!!!! :) Just looking for advice regards their questioning towards us

The side of my family we our up against our Narcissist.

My case is a transfer of land

Any advice is appreciated

Their barrister will try to rip apart your statement, any flaws, contradictions etc. They will have formed their own narrative based on their clients evidence and statement, then it will have been compared to yours for anything to help aid their client or negatively impact you or your statement.

Best advice is to always stay calm. Know your statement word for word. Polietely diasagree to anything they say against you. Point out and correct anything they say which is wrong.

Be prepared for them to try and push their narrative on you, dont be shocked at any lies, simply disagree and counter them with what you've said in your statement.

Don't get angry. Don't let them fluster you. Know your statement/position. Treat it like a debate. Stay calm and accurate. Don't go on tangents or tell more than you need to.
