has anyone fitted

heatsink clips could be interesting . . . so would clearances id imagine lol.

yes, the reason i ask is, that you wouldn't need to run it at full speed.... because it will probably be cooler than a standard fan at only 1/2 speed

195CFM and add 63dBA to the noise profile ...but at half speed maybe 97 CFM and 31.5 DB...this setup wont need push/pull, because its air pressure is so high................just an idea

dBA isn't linear :) Half of 63dBA is 53dBA (ish)

oh well, that rules out the Delta then :D:D:D

they've got a new one at 252 CFM and 5500rpm.... lol

Not necessarily, half the speed is still half the perceived sound :) Still ~50DB tho is hella loud. I'd look at Noctuas / Apaches / Gentle Typhoons tho :)

my existing Xigmateks are fine, i was just interested that's all, because a loud pc will drive me crazy, i wont be able to hear the enemy AI creeping up on me, because my pc is right beside the TV ...... 8ft away

deltas in push pull on a TRUE

its alright
62'c max temp on a 4ghz i7 920

loosing battle imo
may as well go water and use low rpm fans

dont put a delta on a fan controller

just a warning

[unless your propertly is insured for fire damage]

ha ha ;).......... just viewed them on youtube, yes they look deadly and a bit of an overkill, it'll blast your curtains at 5ft away

BUT.....it might be worth just buying one and testing it out, the problem is, this monster might block 2 RAM STICKS, not just one like a normal fan, dont forget; my Thor's hammer is much wider than my Megahalems

``I bought 2 of these and strapped them (with difficulty) into my antec 900 case. now the problem everyone is facing is these are so monstrous no average fan controller can handle them as i found out at my own expense. however with searching around i picked up a controller called a sunbeam which handles these perfectly and was not very expensive. if you turn these down to about half power they will purr like kittens but still cool your rig with immense power :)

dont be fooled guys turn these up and the noise is virtually unbearable.``

:D:D:D:D..........you have to laugh...........

yes far far too loud, did you see it blow stuff off his table and shake the curtains?

they actually said on their own website ``these fans are well designed but very noisey, we cant do anything about this... because that's what happens when you move so much air``......their most powerful version can damage your pc, it can blow the components off your mobo and Sand blast the inside of your case..............that version runs at 5500rpm ...252 CFM...

you're better off with water cooling
