Does anyone own the above monitor?
If so what are your thoughts on it? Very tempted with one as have seen them for £150 which seems on the surface to be an excellent price.

What would I not get that something like the HP W2207 or Samsung 2232BW would give me?

Usage mainly photo editing and general use. Very little gaming or DVD watching.

Hi, sorry i thought id bring this thread back as ive seen these back on the oc site... The specs seem quite brief, could anyone tell me more about these? why are they so much cheaper that the likes of the Lg wtq?

Also i know nothing about monitors, it says '1 analogue input'? what does that mean? If i am buying a Ati 3850 i take it that will work fine with that...

And, any comments on why i should/shouldnt buy this monitor would be great...

Thanks

Yeah your ati will work fine on that monitor. you will need to use the (DVI to VGA) adapter provided with the graphics card. I have that monitor and it's great!!

Thanks for the reply, just out of curiosity why is it £50 cheaper than a lot of the others and still regarded as a 5 star monitor?

Also does the DVI to VGA definatly come with the 3850?

Looks like a great deal... tempted to buy one, can anyone give me a reason to go for the LG WTQ over this monitor?

Thanks

Got one just before xmas last year, cost around £225. There wasn't much competition in the 22" market back then.

Seems OK to me although I haven't even plugged the speakers in and the lack of a DVI port may put some people off.

To be fair it's probably the best monitor I've seen priced under £150.

How important are the DVI ports? Sorry, but I'm not familiar with this area lol. What can/ can't i do if i don't have a DVI port?

Thanks

DVI should give a cleaner signal than standard analogue but you may not notice the difference.

The only problem with not having analogue and DVI is that you can only plug one device in at a time else you need like a switch box or something.

Back to the reviews of this 22" seemingly bargain. I counted something like 45 5 stars and 4 4 stars in the review section here:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-006-BE&tool=3

Clearly those who bought it at the time were please with the purchase (even though the price was about £50 more).

Those reviews though stopped around April so I'm wondering this:

1. Was the 22" technology at the time better or the same than it is now?

2. Are 22" LCDs today much better than at the begining of the year?

3. Would those who gave the Belinea 5 stars and heaps of 'outstanding' / 'excellent' superlatives still do the same today after looking at the latest samsungs and dells?

I'm looking for a basic 22" and this looks good value to me. But I just wonder if it is last years technology.

DVI is generally regarded as being better from a theoretical standpoint as far as image quality goes. Most real world tests and comparisons show very little difference.

There is also a school of thought that says that analogue-only screens have a good quality signal, because that is the primary focus rather than just being an extra port bolted on for legacy compatability like we see on some combination monitors.

Personally the lack of a DVI port wasn't an issue, since I only want to use analogue anyway (DVI seems to be limited to 60hz in most cases, whereas you can get 75hz on analogue).

I got one yesterday. This is an absolute bargain I tell you :)

Considering it's one of the lower brand names it looks good and the build quality is good too.

Having not used a 22" before (only 15,17,19) I can't tell how it compares with others but it looks absolutely fine to me. I use it mainly for database (dos box and apps) and spreadsheets so the extra real estate I get is what I was after the most and this gives it well.

Worked OK straight out of the box. No dead pixels, brightness and contrast only need to be turned down a bit.

I don't know if this common to all 22" but the stand height is taller than the 17" next to it and it is not adjustable. This means that I have to prop up the 17" next to it to level them out. But if you are using just the single monitor it doesn't matter (unless you are sitting on a milking stool :D)

Really pleased with this. Wanted a budget price 22" but which looks good. This really is good value. 5* for me.

Gibbo, any update on when these Belinea monitors will be in? also ive seen the same model, well similar for the same price but with a dvi connection instead of an analogue, any chance of getting these in?

Thanks
