Hey-oooo,
(First off I have posted on GD and was told it was better to try here so apologies for double thread)
I am planning on doing the Mongolia Rally in either 2013 or 2014 on a motorbike.
On bike you do it in teams on 2 so my dad is coming also, I am hoping to have a party of at least 4 of us.
There are lots of companies that organise these events but I think we will do it with Go Help for 2 reasons. 1. They are 100% charity 2. They do not restrict the cc of the bike.
The route I am planning to go is through: UK, Belgium, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan (Boat across Caspian Sea), Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan (Pamir Highway M41), Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Mongolia.
It should take about 6 weeks and at the moment we are planning on doing it on Suzuki DR 300's.
If you have done it before please let me know and share some tips. Also if you have any thoughts on the bike or route that would be good.
Cheers
Adam
