Yo dudes.

As the title, has anyone gone this way? I gather it's a better all round performer, the only reservations I have really is regarding the build quality, lack of top LCD and how reliable the rear lcd screen will end up being after lots of use.

No idea on the weather sealing, but I'd be very surprised if you had an issue with the build quality having tried one out very briefly and handling the camera a few times in different stores. The screen mount is well shielded and the screen itself well protected on all sides bar the base/bottom. The screens with use and time have a tendancy to sag very slightly. They drop opposite mount side. Sonys latest design, whilst clever and useful, is far more prone to damage and flex on the left side upper mount in particular. I think a number of people are going to damage this area without even trying and then going through the warranty process. Second hand, I'd guess more than a few issues unless the owner has been careful.
