Has anyone managed to get Colin McRae Dirt to work with PS3 controller?

AS titled really?

I've followed the guides on the webs and and installed the ps3 controller. Although it detects and installs fine, none of the buttons on it work. Theres no options as well in Colin Mcrae to configure it as well :_(

Have you managed to get any controller to work? I have a PS2 controller connected via a convertormajig but no luck either. I was thinking about getting a sixaix for this and PES but if it doesn't work then maybe the 360 controller?

Its detected straight away in a lot of modern games, with the buttons mapped for you.

Odd, my PS2 pad works a treat in Dirt. You do enable the analog button?
