Has anyone seen the new rachet ps3 video ?

I am a ratchet fanboy, i am very hyped about this :D

Teletran it is the one that came out about a month ago? i'll try find a link.
it has been stuck up on the PS store recently in HD glory and i can't wait for it. I love that little Lombax and his wee side kick :)

Jak 2 was very good, albeit not as good as the first. I never got around to playing the 3rd, which was a shame.
Daxter on the PSP however was surprisingly very good.

IGN Ratings have them as:
Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy: 9.4
Jak II: Renegade: 9.5
Jak III: 9.6
Daxter: 9.0

Clearly doing something right, and whilst I can't agree that the 2nd was better than the 1st, it was still the 2nd best platformer I played on the Playstation 2. I only briefly played Ratchet & Clank and was left thoroughly unimpressed by it, which is a shame.

Personally I can't wait for 'Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontier' when it comes out.

I have heard daxter is good on the PSP and will need to try it.
I didn't like it when it got all dark and stuff, just didn't do anything for me.

I say stick with ratchet, they are my favorite platformers of all time, they have everything i could want in a game, platform, shooting, flying and some wicked sense of humour lol

And ratchet's got
Ratchet & Clank 9.2
Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando 9.4
Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal 9.6
Ratchet: Deadlocked 8.8
Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters 9.0

Not exactly shabby results neither :)

I agree, Jak and Daxter should have been kept lighter than darker, I much preferred it, and for me, like you it just didn't do it for me.

Yeap i would have loved it if they kept it like that, and i would seriously struggle as to what i would think was the better franchise, but i just didn't like the turn they took. Many others loved it, it just wasn't for me.

It's very possible they could go back on it for the 3rd. Daxter was much more chirpy and happy, like the original Jak & Daxter and it proved very popular. I am sure I read somewhere that Ratchet and Clank outsold both Jak 2 and Jak 3 and that Jak and Daxter (1) outsold both its sequels. Surely it adds up and Sony can see that Daxter was very popular and that a brighter, happy game is what people want.

It was a brave move to go dark and a good idea, if the game itself had pushed the idea through a bit more, or had him turn dark much later on in the 2nd, or even 3rd title it might have been perfect. I can't knock them for taking such a big risk on what was, at the time, Sony's biggest character title (replacing Crash Bandicoot as its mascot).

I will definitely be buying Jak & Daxter (4) and Ratchet and Clank (4) anyway as it's so long since I've played a game of their character and it will be a refreshing change from racing and first-person games.

On a side not, anyone else annoyed by the number of '4's on PS3 games?
Metal Gear Solid 4, Devil May Cry 4, Ratchet and Clank 4, Jak & Daxter 4, Grand Theft Auto 4, Armoured Core 4, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
Okay, so Oblivion is tenuous and a couple are now multiformat (but they originally weren't). It's not just PS3, it's all consoles. Sequels are getting to be so annoying. Bring on 'The Club', 'Lair', 'The Darkness' etc..
