has anyone used digital rev?

Sent ******* an email for a quote for the 5D3 kit and replacement warranty so will see what price they say. Any reason why you folks would prefer Digital Rev over somewhere like Panomaz which gets good write ups? Is the Digital Rev customer support better in the UK or anything?

I know, it's certainly one of the things that's been on mind when considering this purchase. Seems though everything has been going smoothly for folks that have used this method, of course there's the what if something goes wrong and you don't have the support of a CC company. Read somewhere that someone had call to use their replacement warranty and it went smoothly enough also so that had gave me a bit more confidence in them.

Will see what sort of price comes back and I'm not in any rush.

There was some concern when I bought my stuff from them for the same reasons I guess. My order was just around the £800 mark so not quite £2k+ but it all went smoothly so I'd definitely be willing to deal with them again.

You won't get it as quick as from somewhere like Digital Rev but when the price difference is so big you can afford to wait a few days.

Meh, going to NYC in October, dropping by B&H 100% seeing this is how far away i am from it.

(totally fluked it, didn't know it is this close until now! Booked the room about a month ago)

Admit it, you're a big ol' nerd and booked knowing that, then planned the rest of the trip around the purchases you plan to make ;)

Incidentally, where do you buy your stuff from? I know you travel abroad quite often (well, more than I do :D), so I assumed you bought at cheaper prices overseas. Or do you just buy it from wherever as you need something?

so big? its only £150+ price difference and for many, that extra peace of mind is worth it(can use CC etc via DR).

You wont be able to grab a 5d3 for £2k in america. they will tax u and when u work it out, it comes to around 2.5k+ and if you get done by people in the airport, thats a further tax u got to pay.

im going florida/miami in months time. a shame wont have a 5d3 to play with but just a 400d. it will do for now. serving me well so far

Nope, never bought anything abroad, never seemed that much cheaper vs warranty and risk of customs on the way home.

I guess if you look at it as a percentage of the 5d mark iii then it's a huge amount more but £150-200 is still a lot of money for most people...

btw, if you have a few hundred lying around then feel free to send it my way ;) taaaa

what percentage? thats what? maybe just 10% cheaper? lol come on whats a spare £150 when you already saved 2k mate?
Toss in the fact that for that extra £150 u get peace of mind

£150 is something I would consider paying extra if I knew the cheaper option had particularly bad service but it doesn't seem that way with ******* from the reviews.

Unles you're rich then £150 is still a fair amount of cash to spend if you don't have to.
