Hey guys and gals, yesterday i applied for some components on OCUK via the finance method (Hitachi Capital) but unfortanatly was declined Twice on two seperate amounts. After been declined i was then later transfered to a page were it said i would be refunded my 10% Deposit and the £45 brooker Fee within 2-3days.

Now im not doubting i will receive the two amounts i applied for but has anyone had any experiences with been declined finance and did they receive both there deposit and brooker fee please?

Kind regards

Hmm yeah, well i rang my bank and they had taken the fees but it was pending. Apparently it was a direct debit they had set up and they would refund within 2-3days, i was just a little worried thats all so i thought id ask if anyone else has had experiences with Hitachi Capital.

why did you get rejected?

Not sure i tried twice with two different amounts one considerably lower than the first one but declined twice. I don't have a bad credit rating in fact I have a good rating. I'm not a home owner and live with parents so this may have affected the decision?

That is brilliant pal :] The two references numbers i have in my OCUK Account are:

ORDER NUMBER: OC1072047
ORDER NUMBER: OC1071978

Hope this helps bud :]

No problem, they have both been refunded today. :)

Banks usually take a while for money transfer but they shall be in your account very soon.

Ok fantastic pal :] would you advise i try again with a different amount or would you suggest to leave well alone and just save the amount up in cash?

You can always try again, however finance companies are usually strict as to guidelines of what orders can be allowed through in the application. - Personally I would recommend saving up if you can, maybe buy parts every other week, or see if your family can help you out. And also it is coming up to Christmas so maybe a hint to family (even though the cost of the parts are quite expensive what you are ordering). ;)

Yer definitely, it annoys me to a certain degree, because i would pay more than the 10% deposit to show the finance company that im not messing around and i am a serious customer. I mean i literally have £800 sat in the bank ready to buy new components but unfortanatly i need around £1300 so i think its a month or two saving hehe :/

Oh wow.. just took a look at your previous 'spec me' thread

3d monitor
nvidia 3d kit
£300+ gfx card
6 core processor

... on credit? wth

just hold out till you can afford it all, or buy some of it now with what you have and get the rest later

I can buy the majority of it now but im kind of bottlenecked with my current machine if i do that. I know for a fact i could have it all next month so i will have to wait. I was just hoping i could maybe get finance as i know its 12month interest free, which it could have been payed off by November :]
