I really need a 1440p monitor and this is the only affordable one that fits the bill, but I've heard it's a lottery whether you get one with backlight bleeding or not. Those posts are from last year, so I was wondering if anyone knew whether this had been sorted yet, considering it's half way through 2013?
Has Dell fixed the backlight bleed issue on U2713HM?

There's no issues as such, it's just hit and miss as with most mainstream monitors really. Plenty of perfectly happy owners of that screen out there, you just tend to hear more moans about bad units online as people without a problem just get on wit enjoying the screen. I've seen personally 3 random samples and none of them had any bleed issues

Well I tried two last month but both had shocking backlight bleed.
