Hi,

Its not my netbook (dell mini inspiron 10) its's a close friends, but i like to learn:p

they have done something to corrupt or delete the wininet.dll

Figured first thing i would do was to hit F8 and get the little lappy restored to factory. However it gives the same error as booting up windows normally.

Tried all forms of safe mode and no joy.
I am guessing i will need a copy of windows 7 starter from dell as they are all OEM?
(its doesnt have cd drive either will need to be usb?)

Robert

Yep a usb tool is available from Microsoft, just google Microsoft ISO to USB then download any Win7 oem ISO as it does not matter, then select repair install (bottom left of screen) and job done!

thank you :)

So after placing the iso to usb boot up from the usb. and then select repaire with ANY windows 7 oem?
or make sure it is the win 7 starter oem? or 32 bit at least? thanks.

Rob

Win7 works by the key so there are no different versions the disks are all the same the product key is what determines the version. So yeah win7 oem x86 (32bit) on a usb stick and you should be laughing. :-)
