Has my GFX died?

Ive literally only had this for 24 hours. And playing counter strike source today im getting weird looking shots..

Please dont say its died.

Okay, also when im walking, it will lag and il appear somwhere else.

What card is it? By the looks of things especially in the first pic, it looks like theres something wrong with the HDR (check the video options and see if its enabled or not). Otherwise, do a driver update to the latest version.

Lol, just shows he must be a very 1337 gamer Thats cool. But 8800GTX, i would try updating the drivers if you havnt already?

run 3dmark 06 and see if u see any problems in the tests. also ati tool can check for rendering errors but im not sure if it works with the 8800, someone else with more experience with 8800cards shoudl be able to confirm wether it works or not, i do know ati tool works on 8600 series cards though.

Sounds to me like a driver issue ,, especially the lag part.
When you changed cards was it a new instalation/reformat ?
If it was not a new XP/vista instalation did you use driver cleaner to remove all traces of the old driver ,, after you uninstalled the old gfx card.

I have those issues with my 8800GTS, nothing to worry about though. I also ocassionally have the floor turn purple. I have been informed it's due to minimising and maximising. But it's nothing to worry about!!!

I got something like that first shot in stalker with my 320mb at certain times, and lived with it as new drivers at the time didn't help, and hl2 ep2 had some textures missing aswell.
