Made a similar post in another catagory, but fell will get more response here.......

Hey, having a couple of problems - im guessing its something to do with my graphics card?

Been having this problem, so just reinstalled windows 7 on a new hard drive and still getting it? I'm pretty sure it was working fine before windows 7 installed, then when i restarted the computer it came back?

http://lolage.co.uk/pcproblem/1.JPG - those blue lines are actually there (not just camera)

http://lolage.co.uk/pcproblem/2.JPG - random symbols? :s

Any ideas?? I dont think its drivers...?

Could it simply be a loose connection/wire?

Start by reseating the card, reconnect the power plug.. best to rule out the simple bits before more drastic measures :)

I think the GPU's dieing / on its way out, i caused the random symbol thing once on my machine playing around with the bios settings but again that could be because of the GPU. :(

One of the two leads from the power supply to the graphics card may have an issue. The metal contact from one of the 6 pins looks chewed up.

Would a new power lead help maybe?

Nooo not the oven, after seeing the picture of that gtx 280 posted on the forum somewhere id suggest not going down that route unless your REALLY confident you can get it to work :p

Disregard. Oven + pics plz :p

Seriously though, if you do decide to try putting it in the oven, make sure you know it's the card at fault and make sure it's well out of warranty :)
