has my graphics card broken ?

Hey i got a gainward 560ti, the other day i was watching a after effects tut on youtube in full screen and the screen suddenly went pink squares but i could still move the mouse for a while and see what was frozen behind... after a minute or so it froze completely, and done it again tonight, it all started when the pc froze on night no pink squares etc it just froze, then it froze once with the squares then again tonight.... the cards only a few weeks old, was bought second hand but apparently wasnt used and was in mint con...

Is this my graphics card or something else causing this ?

Once i restart the pc all is fine and i can watch another vid full screen in hd and it doesnt do it... im so confused ...

I would uninstall all your GPU drivers and then run driver sweeper and cc cleaner in safe mode to enable you to do a totally clean install of the GPU drivers (make sure you have the latest ones).

Also get a monitoring programme (eg MSI afterburner) so that you can see what is happening with temps, power usage, fans etc which may help understand the situation. What did windows event log show after the lockups came up.

I may just replace the card to be honest, i do a lot of video editing for work so when i told work they asked for a link to the card id be thinking of replacing it with so i may get a new one paid for lol, Just a thought tho why would drivers cause funny colours to appear on the screen ... http://forum.notebookreview.com/windows-os-software/312231-broken-graphics-card.html it does this but its pink .....
