Has my macbook died?

Whenever I try to turn my macbook on now, I just get this:

Its been on charge for ages, so its not a dead battery. Tried all usual resetting gubbins.

Why not take the battery out completely, and try again?

My iPod did the same once.. had to change it!

You could also try holding down C and booting off the OS X CD?

Hmmmm check online for what the flashing means on a macbook, on g5 and mac pros, flashing light like that is a ram problem.

It doesn't even get to the "Bios" screen.

Try removing 1 stick of ram and see if it boots

Nah, not correctly seated ram, it seems. When I originally installed it seems I hadn't clicked it into the "second level". Man I had to put so much pressure to get it to click in, I'm suprised it didn't snap off!!

It works though now, and it seems a little bit faster, but that could just be me and my paranoia!
