Has my PSU broke!

Came to start my computer this morning.... pressed the power button nothing happened. Checked the connections and switch at the back. .. still no signal of life what soever... tried another power lead and diiferent socket still same result...

My psu is a antec true blue 480w... is there anything i can try ;-(

If not what would be my best replacement that doesn't cost the earth see spec below... (plus 2 dvd writers, thermaltake Xasier with 7 fans and another HD drive)

Does the PSU work when hotwired?

hot wire by the way the were you bridge between the green and any other black wire to make the psu start

How do i change/check the the fuse in the psu? Where is it?

Not sure about hot wiring either?

Cannot see any lights on the board ;-(

Hotwire is very simple.

Yeah do the hotwire. The fans will spin up if it's ok. It is safe btw.

I'd say you were pushing it with an Antec 480w, so I wouldn't be surprised. I've got a similar system with fewer fans, and my Enermax 580 is right on the bubble. If I connect one more hard drive it gets dropped quite quickly.
