i got some fake emails to say my account had been hacked it has been inactive for abut 1 year .
and at the same time i got an email about a month ago that my account had been comprimised and a gm would contact me in game with in 3 days to let me know what has happened. again my account was inactive or frozen as was shown on wow website.
i thought this was fake also .
But i have reopened my account and upgraged to cata.
i thought there was something wrong with my main lv 80 mage he never had full profations before no where near it so check on wow and found this

This was all when my account was inactive .........grrrr someone had been busy !
 
Dude, take back your account, take the profits and reek the rewards, just buy a authenticator or get one on your phone or something and you'll be fine, the same happened to me, got hacked, got it back 2 weeks later with max profs and like 5k+ gold, it was all good.
 
Why complain - contact Blizzard tell them what happened. Provide them with photographic proof that you owned the games (with serial numbers shown of course) and enjoy the extra achievements/professions/gear/money.

P.s. Attaching a authenticator to your account ASAP would be a very, VERY good idea too.
 
It's not just some update of your achievements due to a patch or something is it, seems a bit odd for those achievements to have the same date rather than staggered over a period of weeks.

might have been but i now had 525 in mining and herbilism .........i never did it infact my proffesions were quite low , i think someone has tried to get everything maxed to sell the account!
 
thats does look a bit strange, i've been hacked once, didnt do anything too malicious just took all my gold though. If you have a suitable phone get yourself the authenticator app.
Blizzard were really good at resolving it, had all my characters stuff refunded in less than 30 minutes of reporting it.

Chances are if it's that quick is was a gold farmer hacking, not uncommon, make sure you let blizzard know or they may ban your account at a later date.
 
A large number of people in my former guild got hacked. The number of times I had to help restock the guild bank...

Anyone who wants to keep their account safe needs to get themselves an authenticator.
 
They could have at least done some of the real chore achievements instead of simple flying around zones. Leave account dormant for a while longer ;)
 
They cant have done ALL that in 1 day? Sounds like versioning because of a patch, looking at a couple of other people's wow pages they also achieved a massive amount of achievements on that date for some reason.
 
My dk did that with the achievements, just seems to be a bug, but just attach an authenticator & a change of password, reclaim that account! :)
