Has the 360 controller spoiled you?

At last... I have been wondering when someone would bring out a controller where you can switch the left analogue stick with the d-pad

I like the sound of the presicion aiming - I might get one.

the saitek one looks promising but its a wired pad ,the wireless one comes out in jan

I can report that the new green controller is.....
..
..the same as the previous version. :/
No wait, it's not quite the same, this one features a lovely squeak on the right thumstick, sigh.

The d-pad and shoulder buttons feel exactly the same to my other controllers - it may well have been 'improved', but it feels the same.

Any ideas on what I can do to cure the squeak? I've spayed some silicon spray on it, but that's made no difference. I've got the receipt, but chucked the pacakaging - think they'll take it back?

The limited edition green controller won't be any different for existing games as they are not coded to use the extra sensors in the d-pad.

The only games that make use of the improved d-pad are PES2009 and the upcoming Street Fighter IV XBLA game. No other titles currently make use of the extra sensors.

As for getting it refunded, you may be able to but I wouldn't say anything about spraying it with silicon spray.

I must be the only person that likes the PS3 pad then - not uncomfortable at all

Nah, there's a few people on these forums who prefer the PS3 pad. It seems the majority prefer the 360 pad though.

Personally I think preference is down to how you grip the controller rather than anything to do with hand size etc!

The playstation controller has been around for nearly 15 years, everyone should be used to it by now. The 360 pad does fit in my hands better though.

Everyone is used to how dated it is. The analogue sticks are just not in the correct position at all.
I couldn't believe they stuck with the safe "same" pad design for the PS3. Yes, people are used to it but that's not a good thing at all.
