Has the monitor gone?

My mate has just called me explaining that he has put a wall mount on his lcd however during installation he heard a spark......so hes turned it on and it doesnt do anything....Has the spark he heard earlier runied the monitor or?

Possibly - Why was he doing this with it all plugged in...?

Sounds stupid but just make sure the kettle plug is connected properly.

Has he changed the plug fuse?
