Has the swear filter been removed?

just out of interest, why is the starring out a global thing, rather than a user option? why am i not allowed to decide whether i want rude words on my screen or not?

Good question, and given the way the new forum software does it these days, it should be possible.
 
It's a bloody family forum dammit. Won't someone think of the children!? Saying that, the content and subject matter of many/ a lot of threads would make the mere use of some colourful language a rather small thing.

I liked the part where someone was talking about their mrs shaving his bum hole for fun times, but it was my post that got edited for actually naming some bum related sex act, I forget which.

the problem with the swear filter is it doesn't cover entire threads, that whole thing was a train wreck of cringe
 
My favourite feature is how the software refuses to let you post your password and stars it out. Look:
