has there been a password leak

How would a password leak on OcUK (if there has been one - which there probably hasn't) affect people trying to get into your Outlook?

No but I don't use the same email address for every site. I use whatever the site is such as overclockers@ so it cuts down on any potential attempts if that email address is leaked from a site being breached.

I do a similar thing except just the first character. The full name is an even more secure version of that!

One reason to now move over to a password management system like Bitwarden / VaultWarden. Then make sure all passwords are generated no smaller than 24 chars and do not use the same password.

Speaking of breaches there was one on Twilio/Authy yesterday.

To think i've been contemplating moving over to Gnome Authenticator the last few weeks and i couldn't be arsed, typical.

:)

@teenwolf I keep all my passwords in my email, when I set up a new account somewhere, I just email myself my username and password and then save them all in a folder called "Passwords".

I figure that email is secure so that's the best place to keep them all, right?

Plus, it's easy enough for me to get to them whenever I want, I just have to open my email and there they all are. My email password is something I can easily remember, I took a leaf out of Dimple's book for that.

Luckily there's only been a couple of breaches of my email provider but I'm sure that nobody is interested in my details so I'm not too bothered.

(this may all be utter garbage)
